Preschool

Marineview Chapel operates a weekday Preschool for 3 and 4 year olds, available to the entire community.  The Preschool was established in 1974 and operates on Christian values and beliefs. Although we do not place an emphasis on explicit religious teaching in the program, our belief in these basic Christian principles will inevitably influence the manner in which our teachers relate with the children.

Marineview Preschool is licensed by the Province of BC Community Care Facilities. All Preschool staff have valid Early Childhood Education Licenses to Practice, valid First Aid Certificates, and have undergone a criminal record clearance.

Philosophy
We believe that our preschool setting should provide a variety of experiences that foster each child's social, emotional, physical and intellectual development. Our sensitive and caring staff offer security, love, respect and understanding within a safe environment. Our goal is to create a nurturing environment that focuses on the development of positive self-esteem and recognizes the needs of individual children.

Support for Parents
Marineview Chapel and Preschool offer other ways for families to grow together. During the school year, Parents & Tots Playgroup and Mums Discussion Group meet weekly. In addition to these programs, each year many Preschool families participate in several community events sponsored by Marineview Chapel and Preschool, including our annual Christmas Carol Sing, Easter Egg Hunt and Family Fun Day.
